Chemical Peeling

A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure that uses a chemical solution to remove the top layers of skin. This can help to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, treating acne and scars, and evening out skin tone.

There are three main types of chemical peels:

  • Light peels are the least intense and can be used to treat mild skin conditions such as fine lines, wrinkles, and acne.
  • Medium peels are more intense than light peels and can be used to treat moderate skin conditions such as acne scars and uneven skin tone.
  • Deep peels are the most intense and can be used to treat severe skin conditions such as deep wrinkles and sun damage.

Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, or hands. The results of a chemical peel can last for several months or even years. However, it is important to note that chemical peels can be painful and may require some downtime.

If you are considering a chemical peel, it is important to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of the procedure.
